Motorola Solutions MoSoverse
For this project, we were tasked with creating a private experience in the Roblox game engine for Motorola Solutions employees that encompasses a number of mini games (starting with Bowling and Obstacle Courses) in a near-future world that shows off Motorola Solutions products and work culture. There are three starting Obstacle Courses, one each for the School, Hospital, and Utilities buildings. This experience was made to be overall very simplistic and easy to understand and play for new players.
I worked with my team to give direction and provide a development strategy with leadership to create unique feeling obstacle environments for each area which still felt grounded together in a wider environmental setting. The secondary goal was to provide simple, easy to read shapes and overall aesthetic so new players would have an easy time navigating each play area.
Canon
The Canon experience currently under development features a new gameplay mechanic being brought to the Roblox universe. In this game, the focus is to take pictures of interesting environmental areas and dynamic world events that occur. You use these images to share with friends and give/receive ratings for pictures while being able to follow through a story-driven quest system.
The world features four main areas: the Starting Hub, Megapixel City, Seranar Gardens, and the Imaginaria Music Festival. NPCs shown are static in screen shots, but will have animations, walk cycles, and interactive events such as sitting, eating, and more. There are multiple dynamic world events which help bring the world to life as well. On top of that, we are featuring a dynamic time of day, bringing a further challenge to getting proper exposure settings for taking photos.
